Damola Ayegbayo’s “A Mother’s Love” transports you to a time when the biggest worry in our world was that somebody had taken away our toy. Or that we’d fallen off the slide and bruised our knee. Big troubles in a small world but ones we were quick to forget about. Then, there were our mothers: brave, kind, and always present. It didn’t matter how lovely or awful the world had been to them, they were our rock. And to them, we were their reason. It makes for good poetry and great art, no?
About The Artist
Demola Ayegbayo is a Nigerian artist born to a teacher and a farmer in 1988. Inspired by his grandfather, who was a painter and a sculptor, Ayegbayo became interested in art at a young age. After graduating from university, he knew that he wanted to become an artist full-time.
Ayegbayo’s style of painting is known as ÀBÈFÉ, which is an expressionist style of art that means “pleaded to be loved” in the artist’s native language. Many of his paintings feature strong black women painted in vibrant colors to create something that is meaningful and attractive.
“The concept of using black women is a reference to my loving mother and the role other women have played in my life. An image of a black beautiful woman always reminds me of how my strong mother trained and brought me up with love and good morals. She helped me discover my real self,” he says.
Stretching and Framing Process
We understand that stretching and framing rolled paintings can be a hassle. This is why we send your paintings stretched at no extra cost.
Our process includes using stretcher bars to stretch the paintings on premium wood. If you’d like to have your paintings framed, we can help you with that too.
We add the liner and then the frame of your choice. You can choose from three contemporary classic options: walnut, mahogany, or simple black. Either way, the frame is sure to bring out the best in your newly acquired artwork.
Shipping and Returns Policy

Orders are shipped between 2 to 5 business days to accommodate the stretching/framing process. A tracking number is emailed to you as soon as your order is shipped.
